I got waitlisted.. What are the chances?

So I'm on the waitlist for chapman.
What are the chances I get in?
And is there anyway i can send them an appeal letter? (I forgot to mention i had surgery and a tumor sophomore year which affected my grades)

bumpppp looking for an answer

Don’t use the surgery as an excuse. Just explain you’re still fully committed to being a Chapman student and submit any positive developments since you last applied. No one can say what your chances are - but often students who contact Admissions and add an item or two (but don’t flood them) may help their cause.

@ArtsandLetters thanks for the information!

oldschoolboy, it also may depend upon your hoped-for major. Some schools within Chapman are more impacted than others. You may have a better shot of getting off the wait list if you switch to another major.

@LongRangePlan My major is biology, should I switch?

That’s your call. I’m just saying, I know sometimes it’s easier to get in with some majors than with others.
