I got WORSE on this practice test and I take the ACT on Tuesday

So last weekend I took a practice test cold and got:
E:25
M:31
R:29
S:31
Composite: 29

This weekend, after a lot of studying on all sections of the test, I got
E:28
M:27
R:32
S:27
Composite: 28.5

I am very dissapointed that my score went down. I actually studied so hard on test taking strategies, time issues, and types of problem. Although my reading and english scores went up, my math and science went DOWN. Like waaaay. Those are my two best subjects and the scores arent what they were. I am very disheartened. I don't know what to do. I intended to raise the english and reading scores up while keeping the other two the same. What advice can you give me? I really thought by studying (the real act book) that it would help. Now I feel worse off!

Keep taking tests, thats all you can do if you’ve already studied specific sections.

Oh, and I’d really like to get a 30 or higher

You’re stressing yourself out. Take some well-needed rest, get your mind off everything, and you’ll be fine going into the test.

Don’t worry. Each test is different. Just go over your mistakes from your last practice test so that you don’t make similar mistakes when you take the real thing. Incidentally, since they round up on the ACT, your 28.5 is actually a 29, so technically you got a 29 on your last practice test. A 30 composite is only 1 point away, and definitely w/in your grasp. Good luck!
