I guess I messed up?

Hi guys,

So my grades aren't that bad. Freshmen year was the worst. Ended up with couple Cs and Ds, but did get Bs too. Sophmore year was mostly Bs and only 1 C+ in Eng and D+ in Science. Junior year grades were pretty great, 2As and all Bs. Now this is my senior year, the most important year of my h.s. life. Well, I ended up with As in Eng, B+ in most of my classes BUT 2 Cs in both History and Art. It won't be so bad if my Cs are high Cs. IT IS LOW Cs. C-!! I think I screwed up sooo badly!! My colleges are not hard to get into, mostly state schools with SAT requirements of around 1400-1600. The GPA range all rank from 2.5-3 mostly. But still, it is a C- in History. How bad would that affect my chance? Also, one of my recommendations would be written by my Junior year history teacher. Would that show colleges that I'm actually not that bad? :( Thanks, help is appreciated!

Lol?

What is your SAT score? What type of courses are you taking? Any AP or Honors courses? Anyway, I think you should be able to get accepted to the state schools you mentioned.

Is this a joke? I suspect it is.

:( This is serious. Please don’t ■■■■■ around.

Dont worry. Not everyone is a perfect straight A student. You should be able to get into those state schools u are talking about. Good luck!!

Haha u guys assume bad grades=■■■■■

My SAT were in the 1500s range. I’m hoping for a 100 point increase this time. I took I.B Standard Level courses while my school offers Higher Level Courses. So I guess that’s count as honors? I don’t know how the Umass schools look at IB standard level. It’s probably count as honors. Will colleges erase out the C- if I get a A in that class next term? I’m working on it!

bump - urgent :(

No grades are “erased”. And a 100 point increase will put you in the 1600 range, which is still not very competitive. Aim for 1800’s.
Apply to smaller schools that are local, then work hard and transfer into a decent college. Also consider community college, good luck!

Sorry. I meant that would colleges ignore that C- if they see that I had an A- or A the next term. I didn’t mean really erase the grade out of my record.
