Oh the irony.

Bump…

I like your chances… i think your leadership is good and I don’t think your SAT IIs are too low (cuz Wharton rally stresses math which you seem to have covered.
Mind chancing me as well?

Bump :frowning:
No one wants to chance me?
:(

lol Prom Princess…

I remember seeing someone who was rejected (ED also I believe?) with 2360+ SAT and 800 on SAT IIs. He owned a business (earned like 20 K a year or something)…and had all these extracuricular activities/leadership skills.

So yeah…idk…

you’re very cookie-cutter Asian (I don’t think I need to tell you that?)…I feel your pain since I’m kind of suffering from the same circumstance…But yeah, tennis+piano+lots of leadership in a laundry list of activities = huge stereotype at top colleges…the way I see it (and this applies to myself as well), it comes down to how you present yourself.

:(
Yeah, that’s what I was worried about.
-sigh-

Wait, so I’m probably going to get deferred right?
Not outright rejected I hope…
I mean I know I might not “stand out” -I guess that will depend on my essays, which I’ve been told are very strong - but I’m not like sub-par or anything I hope…

Does anyone know what the chances of getting deferred and then accepted are?
I mean I know they are extremely low, but I am just wondering.

I think the acceptance rate for ED-deferred candidates is actually lower than the overall RD acceptance rate…like 10% or something.

Well, the raw percentage for ED students are about 25%, but ED applicants are usually a lot more dedicated, so it’s a little bit more difficult to stand out among the ED pool. Most people usually get deferred if they are not accepted during the ED pool, at least at Penn, I believe.

That’s what I thought too, MrBojangles
Before I saw this one post that had all the statistics and getting rejected was about 1/3, accepted ED 1/3, deferred 1/3.

So now I am freaking out :(

Plus, I didn’t get an interview.

I know that my teacher and counselor recs were very strong (the advisor for FBLA wrote one), but I don’t know if its the anxiety or what, the more I look at my essays the more I am dissatisfied with them. I’m super anal about perfectionism when it comes to Wharton, haha, but I guess I will just have to see how it goes :(

At this point I am so unsure of my chances that I think I might be grateful to even get deferred.

Bummpp?

lalalalala

you have a pretty good chance, although your numbers are pretty low. but since wharton loves leaders, you’ll be a good fit
