Schools:
Duke (legacy, ED)
UCLA (legacy)
Johns Hopkins
UPenn
Washington University in St. Louis
Vanderbilt
Naval Academy
Princeton
UVA

What do you think my chances are? Is there any way I can improve them?

Also, I've heard that about 3 other people from my school might be applying ED to Duke. Do you think they would be reluctant to accept so many people from 1 school?

bump (10char)

I think you have a good shot at all of them. I mean I got into WashU with a 27 ACT and I was really involved like you. Vandy, Washu, Duke, UCLA, UVA, and Naval Academy all seem within reach for you.

with a solid gpa and a good SAT score those are all “fit” schools for you. good luck.

Unless the others applying to Duke are way more qualified, they need to worry about you, not the other way around. Legacy is a significant boost there, especially if your parent is involved or generous to the school.

If you don’t get into Duke ED as a legacy, applying to Princeton will probably be a waste of time. Legacy does not count at UCLA.

Duke ED has an ED acceptance rate of about 40%.

So I think you are a definite match for that school and will get in. Given that ED is binding, it won’t matter if you get into the other schools because you have to go to Duke.

I find it funny that one of your ECs is called panacea. Modest goals, I presume?
