<p>Seems like that article is biased. That person transferred from south campus to humanities, so of course they feel like the system needs some sort of reform. Of all the classes I’ve been in (Computer Science BS and a Mathematics Minor) so far there have been completely fair grading scales and students who do well get A’s, while the others not so much.</p>
<p>Looks like you’re comparing apples to oranges. There is quite a bit diversity in south campus topics (biology vs. computer science, for example) and your generalizations don’t help your arguments. None of my classes have been graded on any sort of bell curve and most of the lower division math classes give at least 30% A’s and something like 33% B’s.</p>
<p>tl;dr
Students don’t graduate because they can’t take the heat.
Quit generalizing about south campus, there’s a lot of diversity in majors down here.</p>
