I sent in my essay to a college [Elon] last week, and I just found a typo within it.
I have well above the average ACT/SAT scores, great everything else, I'm applying EA...the essay itself was excellent.
How much do you think this will hurt my chances of admission?

Unless your typo involved mistakenly writing a curse word or substituting the name of Elon's arch rival for Elon, I doubt that your typo will be noticed.

mistakenly writing a curse word

That has me in stitches just imagining it.

Essay: "Even though I didn't think I had a sh-t at getting in . . ."
Adcom: "Well I NEVER!!"

My sister is going to Elon. If she got in, knowing nothing about the process or even how to say Elon, then no sweat for a CCer.

"then no sweat for a CCer"

does CCer now imply intelligent with neurotic about college?

yeah pretty much

haha.
thanks, everyone:)
