Hello
I have question about calculating UC gpa
I took AP chemistry during Sophomore year and earned C / D
I tried to make up the D in 2nd semester by repeating chemistry is community college.
as result, i received C…
I was wondering if this C would replace D in AP course?
thank you so much!

The most accurate answer is probably not. You would have to ask your counselor if the course you took at community college is the same as AP chem.

The community college almost always teaches a far easier course compared to AP ______, and the courses are different. I tried to find a class equivalent to AP Physics C, after I got a C both semesters. (I wanted to try to replace those grades). Turns out the physics courses at my local community college were not the same so I could not do anything about those grades.

You aren't COMPLETELY screwed with a D for UC's in your sophomore/junior years... Usually Merced, Riverside and MAYBE UCSC takes em.

Someone at my school got a 36 perfect on the ACT and had a D and the best he could do was UCD. He got rejected from UCLA, UCB, UCSD, UCSB, and UCI
