Glad to hear your interview went well:) I had my Haverford interview several weeks ago. The woman was extremely nice and interested in my activities etc..but she couldn't tell me much about the school since she attended years ago. In fact, she was in the first class to admit women!

n you share what type of questions the interviewers asked you? Were they informal? Did they indicate that the interview was evaluative? Did they seem to be familiar with you (pre-interview got copy of your application)? Thanks for any insight.

Geeese what happened there? The post started with the fact that I will be applying to HC next year. "Can you...." Thanks, Dana

Questions:

What subjects do you like
what did you do this summer
what's your least fave subject
siblings... family jobs
extra currics.

they know nothing about you when you go. no grades. no sat scores. they dont want to know. just talk and make conversation.

I had mine in November... it was my first interview and I was so nervous, but it went really well. It was very casual, I asked a lot of questions about the school, which he liked, and from that and what I mentioned in my questions, he asked about my extracurriculars, volunteer service, and favorite/least favorite classes. It was really just like having a conversation with a friend. I wouldn't worry about it.

Did your person ask about partying?

Mine spent a lot of time telling me about "nice bars in Phili".

Haha no, but I live about 30 minutes away from Haverford and even closer to Philly, so he may have assumed that I already knew about Philly nightlife. He did mention that you'd never be bored and could find something to do, but never came right out and talked about the bars.
