i had to drop 2 classes after being accepted... now what? email them? call them?

<p>I'm an idiot.. only class I had left this spring at a CC was Calc 2 .. but i decided to take a photography class and philo class and acctg class for fun. Then I dropped philo and photo but kept math and acctg... </p>

<p>This happened after being accepted to uci ucsd ucsb and im waiting for ucla and ucb..</p>

<p>what should I do? I know im an idiot for taking UNNECESSARY classes and risking things, but what should I do?</p>

<p>You will get a high chances of being rejected again, while you were dropping those 2 classes.</p>

<p>cuz one of my friend, she got into UCLA last year, and her GPA messed up in the spring semester, 2 Bs, 2 Cs, 1 none credit, so UCLA rejected her… but however, she appeared successfully.</p>

<p>I don’t think it’s a good idea to drop them, but you can call UCs that you were going to and discuss about your personal issues.</p>

<p>I heard that as long as you have over 60 credits, it doesn’t matter. That’s what UCI and UCSB told me after I dropped classes…</p>

<p>It depends on the school and your major. If yours is not an impacted major at that school OR the schools you’re worrying about are not prestigious schools like UCLA or UCB. Then you should be fine as long as you still complete at least 60 units before transferring. I assume that Phil and Photo are NOT needed for your major or IGETC</p>

<p>To sum up, I think you’ll most likely be fine with UCI and UCSB (if your major is not impacted).
UCSD: I think your chance is a little lower here, but should be fine (depends on your GPA, ECs, major)
UCLA, UCB: I really doubt it. It’s bad that you have to drop 2 classes at the same time. But even if you keep them, you’ll have to get at least a B in each class (that was UCLA’s condition for my friend last year in order to maintain his admission to UCLA) </p>

<p>So… up to you, which one is ur first choice? Do you mind posting your stats here? (major, GPA, ECs…)</p>

<p>Make sure you inform the UCs as soon as you drop the class, sooner better than later.</p>

<p>At this time though, I do think it would be a little too late to inform them because applicant acceptance/denial are done (well, for UCLA at least) but it would be best to let them know asap. [:</p>
