i hate highschool

so today was my 5th day of highschool and i hate it. if you dont already know i got waitlisted at st georges and never got taken off the list. so im stuck at my towns public school for a year until i can apply again. i have no friends in my classes (on acquantices) and all my best friends left to go to private schools. im playing on the soccer team and i hate it. soccer used to be my favorite sport but now i cant stand practice. the coach has me go to varsity practice (7days a week, double sessions on weekends) even though they already have a goalie. so he tells me im playing jv but he wants me to practice w/ varsity (which i dont get) the senior goalie wont get off my case. seriously i cant stand her. shes being such a b**** to me. so highschool sucks and so does soccer. its bad to the point that i was crying last night and today after school. any inspirational words???

You have to stick with it.

I played soccer in my sophomore year, and it killed my grades.

I got a couple of Cs and Bs...

And I'm Asian. You can imagine how devastating that was to both me and my parents.

I was always tired, sick of wasting two hours everyday for practice, staying up past one or two to do homework, and hating life in general.

Plus, I never started a game.

It was a frustrating year.

You just have to do your best with what's given to you. Until you get into that private school, have patience and get good grades.

slap that goalie right in her face. and slap ur coach too. knock their ass out!

Report the goalie. There's anti-bullying laws, the schools have to do something about it or you can sue the school for different things.

They are having you practice with them simply because you are their backup, and may possibly be the next one in line. My school's football team does that all the time (play JV, dress varsity).

Welcome to the club.

don't we all?

All I can say is that it is going to be a looooooooooong year.

Dont worry, i'm having a hard time in high school too. Even if i do have so called "friends" they never hang out w/ me outside of school or anything or invite me anywhere but if they did, i couldnt go b/c of my strict/busy parents and 4 younger siblings. So i m scrwed until i get some real friends + a car. Sometimes i feel so darn awkward and alone in class, but when i talk to someone nice, i feel less depressed.

quitting is always an option. i quit football even though i was stronger/bigger than 85% of the seniors my freshmen year and people didnt like it but they got over it fast. it was also one of the best decisions ive made. of course, our team does suck horribly and all of the players on it are unjustifiably arrogant and annoying.

I don't. I've loved it thus far.

Prepchick- like kman said, you're probably the back-up which is why you're practicing with varsity. Look on the bright side, you'll most likely come out a much better player because of it. Also, what exactly does the other goalie do to you? I'm a goalie and I bet I come off as a ***** sometimes to younger keepers, but that's just because I'm quite sarcastic and they don't always pick up on it. It's nothing personal... unless they just suck and are annoying, but I still try to be nice.
You should also be able to make some good friends during soccer if you don't know anyone at your school. Things will get better, socially and soccer-wise, so long as you try to make the best out of it.

For everyone who complains about not have good friends or any who go to their school:

-yea, it might really suck for a while walking around and going to lunch all alone, but if it really bothers you that much, you should be all the more willing to try and make new friends. For starters- talk to the people next to you in class. Share things and participate during class, it will allow people to get to know you a bit and they're more likely to want to be your friend if they know you as more than just "that weird shy kid in class."
Try to not seem lonely or depressed, walk around with confidence especially when you're alone!! It's much more appealing.

i do have alot of friends but they are all not in my classes. the only class i have with my friends is lunch, which is def. a good thing.
my coach told me next year (ill be a sophmore) that i will be starting varsity goalie. but he has no clue that i probably wont be at the same school my sophmore year i just dont have the heart to tel him. tonight we had a scrimmage and the goalie really turned around. she was showing me how to do things right and stuff. i dunno my life is a rollercoaster right now

ok.....just wait a few months and most likely you are going to feel a lot better..pretty much everyone hates it in the beginning...as for the soccer thing, you should be happy! obviously your coach thinks you are good enough to practice with Varsity, so they prbly have you in mind for a backup or definitely for next year.

high school's tough because it's one of those problems that you can't "solve" or just leave from, so you'll have to stick it out until something else better comes along aka college or your private school.

im so glad this is my last year in this ****hole.

as for sports, you could always quit and join a recreational leageu. those tend ot be much more fun. although i dunno if its too late

Haha, that's exactly like me. Except I don't have 4 siblings. And I probably won't be getting a car anytime soon.

I enjoy high school also. It's soooo much better than jr.high where the classes aren't challenging or interesting at all.

Give it time, high school isn't so bad.

you are the first person I've ever seen who actually wants harder stuff to study.
