dooo u?????

yes i can agree with you. $9.50 to send your SAT scores = ridiculous.

on another note, i just called one of the colleges i applied to about my admission status and they said they had not receieved my transcript even thgouh I sent it Novemeber 1st!! I have to wait till monday to go to the school counseler and ask them to send it again. im just really mad because it was 2 whole months ago and I hope it didn't ruin my chances at being accepted......argggghh im soo sick of high school

ditto^

My counselor sent a transcript 3 times and one school still hasn't received it.

I did. then I took the ACT.
the collegeboard makes things so much easier, and is much easier to deal with.

Not yet...ask me in March.

I don't really like the college board either.

I took the ACT during the spring. The proctor was a complete douchebag. He let everyone else out for the scheduled 5 min break, then started the test 3 minutes later with half the class outside enjoying their break. It was maddness. Whatever company owns the ACT exam is even more dysfunctional than the college board. It may be an isolated incident, though.

That made me smile, Fitter.

CollegeBoard really makes a lot of money making required standardized tests and then even publishing books to prep you for the test. And also for sending scores..

i've met some collegeboard people....

Seriously I swear. They make so MUCH DAMN MONEY!!!! There's a flipping fee to everything. I called today and was asking about registration stuff. "There will be $10 phone registraiton fee, I'll be happy to do it for" ..WTH.

They seriously need to go bankrupt.

They lost my Spanish subject test and still can't find it. Calling and asking for a supervisor is a joke. They are all idiots with 8th grade educations. They don't return calls and have no answers. And don't care that if you don't have the score in two weeks you'll be in jeopardy of not getting into all these colleges you applied to.

College Board is a scam.

I wish they'd lower their test fee's by about $30.

^^

Please. It seems that all everyone on this forum want to do is make negative comments towards ETS or College Board. Personally I think they do a great job at producing and assessing standardized tests.

Collegeboard lost my SAT II math2 scores last year. It took them SIX months to find them.

So, awaiting-college, you still think they do a great job?

Hahaha... wouldn't it suck if CollegeBoard people were perusing the forum right now, and they happened to visit this thread? Hope you all kept your emails hidden and whatnot :P

i wonder what they do with all that money
they could probably stop aids in africa with all that dough

Are you saying that you have never lost anything?

i completely agree with you...we should remove sat1!!!
sat2 is good enough to compare applicants...

simple economics ~ near monopolization=poor service.
until the ACT becomes a true competitor in all areas, including things like ap and subject tests, the college board can charge all they want.
