Whatever, Mario Williams is a great player, I saw him play against BC and he has some sick moves. Plus the Texans already have Domanick Davis, who is a pretty good running back. And frankly I don't even think Reggie Bush will be a superstar in the NFL. He's doing flips and juking everyone out and leaping over everyone in college but he tries that in the NFL, some 260lb. linebacker is going to destroy him.

Yea but I'd rather have Davis/Mario than Bush/Whoever the D-end they have. The reality is Davis is young, cheap, and a similar player to Bush. If there was any questioning to whether they would not be able to sign Bush you can't jeopardize your #1 pick.

What will Mario Williams do in his rookie season? Maybe 15 sacks, some tackles for loss?
I believe Reggie Bush is a much better pick because he can run, catch passes, and return kicks and punts. I definetly give the Texans a thumbs-down on that one.

Well if you really watch football andunderstand everything involved, Williams was the better fit for them. He will be a difference maker and bring some toughness and a mean streak t o houston. Bush also wanted more money than they could afford realistically when it comes to signing other picks and free agents and the kind of guaranteed money that Reggie wanted was too high for an unproven rookie

" Electrifying junior scatback had another outstanding season that almost defies description. Bush is the rarest of the rare running backs. As a prospect, he may be the best pro player in any year with the exception of NFL greats Jimmy Brown and Johnny Unitas. He ranks with any back in memory and resembles former NFL great Gale Sayers with his supernatural open-field running skills and his all-round game. " --Scouting report on Reggie Bush

I'm sure Mario Williams is a good player, but why take a DE with the first pick? They could have traded down a few spots and still possibly gotten him (for less money).

wilmingtonwave, this offseason the Texans signed Baltimore Ravens DE Anthony Weaver (w/ a $12.5 million signing bonus). Bush & Weaver can challenge Davis & Williams any day.

Anyway, I'm finished talking about the Texans. I don't like them anymore, after all.

I agree with trading dow to the jets beacuse u would get mario at no.4 and the 29th pick. Oh well, I'm moving to houston in June so I'll probably hear more ranting about this

Houstonians wanted Vince or Bush. They didn't get Vince, and they were expecting Bush. Bush is a can't miss prospect, one of those rare gems. He would have filled those empty seats at Reliant Stadium (btw, you should go when you get to Houston... its mammoth) David Carr had his kids wearing Reggie Bush jerseys. No joke. Its not that I'm anti-Williams. But the Texans needed a jolt for their franchise. And taking one of the best prospects in a long time would have given them that jolt. Its just not practical to give a DE 1st pick money when you can trade down and get him for less, plus a pick. And about the money, did you see the cash coming out of Bob McNairs wallet this offseason?

Who knows maybe bush will get some injury and be a druggie. Maybe this will go down as one of the worst goofs of all time. Time will tell. I can't believe we got an injury prone safety. We need a shut down corner after losing madison and surtain
