I was wondering how hard it is to get into villanova? I visited over summer and loved it. I am currently a junior.
I have a 3.8 and I have taken the hardest possible courses offered at my school. I currently have a 27 on the ACT but plan on getting a 31+. I play varsity sports and volunteer most weekends at st. Vincent dePaul. I also am very involved in various clubs at my school including FBLA, STUCO, NHS, Renaissance, and I started my own ACT prep club. If I get a better ACT score what kind of chance do you think I have? How hard is it to actually get accepted to VU?
Thanks!

Anyone? Any advice/comments?

Is your GPA weighted or unweighted? If weighted you are on the lower end of the Nova average, if unweighted that is a really solid GPA and you would look like a competitive applicant. With an ACT score of 27 you are well below the Nova average. Bringing your score up to a 31+ is a big jump…

BTW the stats for the actual freshman class (Fall 2011) are
CR SAT 590 - 680,
MATH SAT 620 - 710,
ACT 28 - 31.
The average weighted GPA is 3.86.

The stats for admitted students are obviously higher since many top students who also apply to the ivies, Notre Dame, BC, or Georgetown use Nova as a backup.

My school doesn’t do weighted gpa. That is my unweighted. And I am about to take an 8 week ACT prep course. I think I can bring up my composite to atleast a 31+. I was unable to take trig due to scheduling conflicts, so I only have a 25 on math. I think the class will definitely bring me up to that range. I have great ECs. I volunteer, play varsity football, and am in various clubs. I’ve taken the hardest courses possible, three dual enrollment courses and have doubled up two years on math. If I bring up my ACT, would you consider me to be a good fit?

bump…
