I have 105 units, some UC's won't accept that?

I have finished my personal statement and everything and need to turn in my application. But I had an error when calculating how many units I have. I thought it was around 80, but I did everything on my calculator and I have 105 units. So I changed it and now some of the schools are blocked out. Most of my classes were just dumb classes though... I had no clue that this could be bad for me. What to do? I'm working on my major prep now because next year I will start Upper Div. I'm still in lower division despite being in community college for 4 years.

dude just select the classes you wish to get credit for. if you have 105 units, select only 80 units that you think will be more important than the other 20ish units

105 semester or quarter units? 105 quarter units = 70 semester units.

Note that it also matters whether you have any units from a four year school, versus everything from community colleges.

I talked to a UCSD admissions officer about this today. Basically to apply with junior standing, which is only level that any of the UCs will accept, you have to have at least 60 semester units from a CCC or 4 year institution. Futhermore, as a junior the maximum transferable units they will let you start out with is 70, however, if all of your units come from a CCC and you’ve taken no upper division courses at a 4 year institution you’re fine. There only becomes a problem if you have 70+ units and some of those were taken at a 4 year because that would place you as a senior level transfer, which they don’t consider. You could theoretically have 10000000 community college units and they’ll still consider your application. They’ll look at your cumulative GPA for however many units you have to evaluate you for admission, but when you start next Fall 2012 70 of those units will transfer over for credit and the others will still count as subject credit for your pre-reqs. Hope this helps.

Thanks this is what I am looking for.
