Would it be hard to get into direct admit with a 3.5 and a 2000 sat oos (petition)?

How hard is it to transfer into Kelley after freshmen year at IU

Can I even get into IU with those stats?

I have one more question

Do first semester grades of senior year factor into the petition process?

I am asking this because I just found out that I have to apply by November 1st to be able to petition. Does that mean I would be applying ed?

You will get in but you won’t be a direct admit or get any deans scholarship money.

IU does rolling admissions so that means you will not be applying ED.

The criteria for direct admits to Kelley are here:

[Future Freshmen: Undergraduate Program : Kelley School of Business: Indiana University](<a href=“Undergraduate | Bachelor's Degree in Business | Indiana Kelley”>Undergraduate | Bachelor's Degree in Business | Indiana Kelley)

so No you are not a direct admit based on the GPA. We have no idea what your CR and M scores are based on your post. Is that GPA weighted or unweighted?

It’s not hard to be admitted to Kelley later, IF you meet the criteria. There are numerous threads here which discuss that. The above link also contains a link to those criteria.

My cr + m is 1340. So I should not go to IU if I don’t get into direct admit petition ? I only want to go to a school if I am guaranteed into the business program

Your SAT scores are fine. Is your GPA weighted or unweighted? That is what will hold you back from a direct admit without petitioning.

If by some chance that is an unweighted GPA, find out your weighted GPA. IU uses weighted GPA’s when they appear on the transcript.

Only you can make the decision if you should go if you are not directly admitted to Kelley.

1000’s of students attend IU without being direct admits into their prospective schools/colleges.

Unfortunatly it is weighted. Does the direct admit process factor in senior year grades because mine is a 4.0 weighted right now. Also do they recalculate gpa or is it what is on the transcript.

Yes, you can petition until July 30th after your senior year. So by then, your senior grades from both semesters will be incorporated into the decision. That is what I am doing.
