I have a 3.2 gpa (freshman in High school) is there any way to fix?

I am a freshman in Highschool, and my gpa (i think it is unweighted) is a 3.2 (but that was last semester), my school year is nearly over, but i don't know my current gpa (hopefully it raised). Well, my problem is that, the college i've always aspired to go to was Duke, and i don't know if they'll accept me.... My courses this year were,...
1) Band
2) P.AP world geography,
3) Principles of business, marketing, and finance,
4) Spanish 2,
5) P.AP biology
6) P.AP English
7) Art 1,
8) Algebra 1

Extra:
I have 200+ hours of community service, (i volunteered every day after school from 3:10-5:30)
next year my classes, (not in order by period like the previous list) will looks some what like this

1) P.AP Spanish 3
2)Communication Applications
3) P.AP English 2 (i don't know if that is how you say the class name..just know it will be pre AP)
4) P.AP Geometry
5) P.AP Chemistry
6) Band
7) P.AP World History
8) Art or Choir.....

I slacked off horribly this year, so i know that the 3.2 is my fault.... so i was wondering...is there any way for me to raise my gpa to a 3.8-4.0+ (unweighted or weighted?) I am willing to work really hard and sacrifice some of the liberties i gave myself this year to make that gpa happen... I also plan on continuing my community service ( i can also leave early/not show up if i have alot of homework or have a project... I also plan on graduating on the distinguished plan. and I plan to continue to take the highest level classes offered at my school (if possible) ... ... Help me???

P.S i plan on trying out for some sports... (with the mindset of school work coming first ALL THE TIME)

ty in advance....

try a time machine. At the rate MIT is going, they’ll have one ready before you start the college app process.

Just kidding. You have 2 years to make up for it. They will weigh the freshman records less (in their mind, not literally). 10th and 11th are the most important, so dont slack off. Have fun, work hard, and good luck to you!

You have plenty of time to raise your GPA by the time you have to apply. If you work hard and not slack off you should be fine, especially if you’re taking the hardest classes available. Your volunteer work should help too.

So…All i have to do is work harder? Because i am willing to raise my grades for the college of my dreams.

I was in the same position as you; it really isn’t too late to turn things around. I’ve got my story and advice here: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/admissions-hindsight-lessons-learned/1099647-billymc-s-advice-future-applicants.html</a>. You can improve your grades a lot as long as you try at it and are willing to work.

This is the story of my life :)
