I have a 99 weighted GPA & I'm still top 60%

I live up in Maine & my school is really tough, I have 3.4 GPA, an 88, and a 4.0 GPA, a 99, but I'm the top 60% :(. 98% of my school go to college, how will colleges look at my rankings and grades.

Edit: Well, it depends on the schools you're looking at. I think you should be able to get into good (but not excellent) public schools provided you have over a 1300/1600 or 1900/2400 on the SAT's.

3.4 unweighted and 4.0 weighted, I'm a rising senior.

colleges will have some understanding of the difficulty of your high school and how competitive it is -- although i'm not sure that being in the top 60% with a 3.4 unweighted gpa is that crazy-competitve...i'm guessing its around there at my school as well

I have a 3.5 uw (all honors and ap's and advanced a year in langauge, science and math) at my school and im still top 15%. Our val last year had a 94 final gpa. Ypu think you have it bad, My school is competitive.

Holy crap. Where in Maine do you go to school!? I go to Nokomis, and I have a 2.5 UW and I'm in the 18th percent. Which is sad, I know.

Colleges will note the difficulty of the school. Chill...
