I have a C in AP Calc AB, can I still get into good colleges?

Hey College Confidential! I'm a senior in high school and I'm getting ready to submit my applications and finish up the college process. However it looks like I'm going to have a C in AP Calc on my mid year report card. The rest of my grades are As, with maybe one B depending on how midterms go. I was wondering if this will completely knock me out of the running to get into any of my reach schools (Tulane, NYU, Boston U, UW-Madison, McGill)? Attached are my past grades, gpa, sat score, and extracurriculars. I'd really love some insight, I'm kind of freaking out.
The other schools I'm applying to are Ithaca College, Eckerd College, Seattle University, Virginia Tech, VCU, and University of Vermont.

I can definitely see you getting into most of those schools. Just don’t apply for math/engineering and you should be good!

Chance me back? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1586584-chance-me-some-schools.html

Seattle U but not Gonzaga? Curious why you would leave them out if you are ok with religious schools. Also, Baylor…

@bigtimeseller232 - “get better schools”? Really? C’mon man. You are the most negative poster I have seen on here.

I’m in the same boat (got a C in AP Enviro) and also freaking out so you’re not alone! haha I think you’ll be fine, I know someone at my school that just got into NYU and also had a C in either honors math or science (can’t remember which). I think colleges tend to prioritize the first three years of high school

I’m saying there would be nothing wrong with his job prospects with the colleges he has chosen. Your elitist perspective is clouding your judgment to the point where you are, quite frankly, an annoyance.

You are aware that highly successful people graduate from schools other than those in the Ivy League, or in California, right?

Thanks thats definitely helpful. As for retaking the sat this score was my retake, as my original was 200 points below, so I’m not sure if i can do much better. And my highest aps are psych and english, i got 5s. I dont know if this helps, but last summer I spent a month in thailand and cambodia on a youth trip doing service work and traveling and the summer before that in ghana for two weeks doing a similar program. Also, the summer before high school I participated in a spanish immersion program in guatemala and was able to skip spanish one and enter high school in spanish two. Would this travel help me significantly?

You should include that in your essay for the school.

Yet it is still one of the top B Schools in the nation. Thanks for helping to prove my point.

I also plan to attend their TMMBA program (12+ yrs exp). But I suppose that’s a bad idea too eh?
