My school is a very challenging school, and we have one of the hardest AP Clac class.
I usually get all A’s with one or two B pluses a year, and I’m planning on applying to UCLA, USC, NYU, etc. as a business major.
I know state schools don’t look at your senior year grades, but USC and NYU definitely will. I can’t even do early application since they don’t have early action.
This year, I have a C (almost a C-) in AP Cal which I’ll try my best to bring up to a B, and I also have two 89s which I know I can bring up to A’s.
However, If I happen to get a C in AP Cal, how much would it hurt my chances of acceptance? ( I know it is gonna matter, but how much?)
Please help. I never expected my senior year to be the hardest.
It’s like a month into the school year. You should have plenty of time to get that up to a B or even an A so stop stressing.
Don’t focus on the consequences of getting a C. Focus on working hard in school and you’ll never have to worry about a C in AP Calc.
Thanks man. I appreciate that
Make sure you are getting help with what you don’t understand in calculus. Make a concerted effort - ask questions in class, get a tutor, ask a friend for help, go in before or after school for extra help. There’s no reason that you can’t pull that C up to a B by the time the semester ends if you work hard and get help.
