I have a club problem.

So, last year, I founded a service club at my school. It wasn't really successful because it was in its first year and we had a bunch of resume-padding members... In the end, we really only raised $500. But I had everything in place, and over the summer, I recruited tons of my friends and got the club to 30+ members.

Since there really is supposed to be a change of leadership every year, I let a friend of mine take over. Since then, he has utterly disrespected my opinions and acted as a dictator, causing us to lose some members.

I feel kind of cheated, like I built something and then gave it away because I had to... It really bugs me that I'm being patronized by someone who had no idea about the club at all until I brought him in...

coup d’etat plz

Bump. 10char

You should have a club constitution, with provisions for impeachment.

Go all Napoleon on him. Or propose a list of grievances with which you can recruit members from the club and form a new club with similar goals and purposes as the original club.

Just ask him about this…

You can be like Brutus and just assassinate him (like Brutus did with Caesar) with other members.

jk but yeah talk to him and if you have an advisor for the club talk to him/her as well.

give yourself an elastic clause

Since the leader has failed to provide for you and your members, draft an Independence Document, list your grievances, and then go all kickass on them.
