<p>First, I haven't received a notification from UCI if they've received my applications yet. They said they send it in mid December and now it's almost the end of the year. Should I be worrying? I applied exactly on Nov 1. </p>

<p>Second, on UCI's website, it says "UC Irvine does not routinely ask for fall semester grades or work planned for spring semester" (UC</a> Irvine - Office of Admissions and Relations with Schools) -- what does that mean? They don't look at fall semester grades to determine admission? I thought fall grades were the most crucial. I applied for fall 09 and was hoping that my fall 08 grades would boost up my admission chances.</p>

<p>they do include fall 08 grades; they ask for your transcript later on.
if you wanna make sure, just call UCI, it doesnt take too long and that way, you'll know for sure.</p>
