I have a couple questions.

I am currently a sophmore. I can room for one maybe two more class next year. I am thinking about retaking a class so i can get a higher grade. I have 3 choices earth science (C) , bio (c+), and spanish 3 (C+). I am pretty sure if i do retake a class i can get an A in it.

I have four ap classes to take my junior and senior year. (bio, chem, physics A and physics B) Is it possible to take both physics at the same time. Should i skip A and go to B. I am currently a sophmore in Algebra 2 trig.

To be honest with you, if you are really trying hard in earth science and are pulling off a C, you do not belong in an AP science class. If you are slacking off, then it may be a different story if you work harder. From personal experience, I can tell you AP classes are RIGOROUS and you will have to work much harder to receive A in an AP class than in a regular class. C’s are for average students, and average students are not meant for AP classes.
-Sorry to be so tough, but I’m just telling my opinion

I took earth science back in 8th grade. I was not as motivated as i am now. I am a sophmore now and i have an A in all my classes. I am taking 2 Ap classes this year and i have an A in both (euro and psych). Im just thinking of which one should i retake because those are my 3 C’s.They are also easy classes. I just wasnt motivated back then and i would never do my homework

There is no Physics A, it is B and C: Mechanics and C: Electricity and Magnetism. B is the AP Physics course you’ll take because it is based on algebra and trig, Physics C are calculus-based physics.

AP Biology is extremely rigorous, meaning there is so much to memorize. Earth Science is more comparable to AP Environmental Science.

I don’t get it, are those Cs from middle school classes? If so, they don’t show up on your transcript that you give to a college, so you shouldn’t worry about them.

No point in re-taking a class. The damage has already been done and it does no good to take the same exact course again. Spanish as a language is not as important as the core classes. Just do well in the next level. Don’t retake the same bio course, however if an AP bio is offered, take that do well and do well on the AP exam so you can redeem yourself a little. Earth science is a freshman course…you would be better served to take an AP science in place of the same course junior year.

I’m sorry this is kind of off topic, but euro is awesome!

So, I am wondering if it would be possible to take AP physics B in my sophomore year? I am planning on taking basic physics over the summer, and doing Algebra 2/Trig Honors once school starts. I heard AP physics B wasn’t math based, but would I be ready for it? (By the way my same teacher who teaches algebra, also teaches AP physics)
