I just checked my grades for the spring semester and saw that I received a D in Managerial Accounting. I was coming into the final with a low B and emailed my professor, he told me I got a 26/100 for my final which was about 25% my grade. 'm panicking right now and am hoping UCLA won't rescind their decision.

I am admitted as a Pre Economics major with a 3.67 and I technically, Managerial Accounting is not a prereq. These were my courses in the spring:

Managerial Accounting: D
Anatomy and Physiology: A
Calculus II: B
Music Appreciation: A
Intermediate HTML/CSS: A
Course Training (PE): A

I already have 71 units and technically don't need this Managerial Accounting class and already can complete IGETC without it. How likely will my admission be rescinded? I already signed up to retake this class in the summer but I'm not sure if UCLA will rescind my admission regardless. Please help me!!

This isn't 100% obviously because i'm not a UCLA rep, but i'm 99% sure you'll be fine because this happened to my friend and she got a F in her random art class that she needed for IGETC and UCLA just told her to retake it in the summer or fall at UCLA and she would be fine.

Just make sure you tell them ASAP so they don't think you're hiding something. :D

yeah, as long as your GPA doesn't drop 0.3 points (which i have seen happen) and your spring GPA is higher than 3.0, they might just make you re-take it over summer.

if you get your application revoked, then your chances of getting it appealed is, according to a guy at the UCLA officer, 1% of getting it overturned again.

bum...Unless you have one of those freakishly competitive majors where they make their admitted students stay above a 3.5 for their spring semester, you are ok. I think the provisional contract said to only report if you got more than 3 c's plus any d or f grades.
