I have a few questions about getting into THE Ohio State University

I have a few questions regarding Ohio State!

I’m a junior in high school living in Southern California. I spent my first two years at a competitive private high school but then transferred this year to my local public school to help save money for college. It is my absolute dream to attend The Ohio State University. The quantity of my college list is one. If I am to be denied next year I will go to a junior college and try again later. Now onto my questions!

1) Should I take the ACT or the SAT? (Which does Ohio State prefer?)

2) What should my GPA look like? Consider the fact that I lack in extra-curriculars, but I am joining track this upcoming semester.

3) Anything in my control that I can do besides a good GPA and a good test score to help my chances at getting into this amazing university? (If I get the chance to write a personal statement, I am going to make sure it gets noticed.)

Answers to these questions would be greatly appreciated! I truly want to fulfill my dreams by attending Ohio State. The day that I get accepted, if that day ever comes, will be the pinnacle of my life thus far.

they don’t care which one you take, Most submit the ACT

GPA 3.3 uw or above should be solid

personal statement was required but honestly not sure it makes a huge difference

btw I got in a month ago with average extra cirriculars 3.5 GPA and 30 ACT
good luck
