Hooray! I love happy endings. Bard is a great school.

Unless your COA = FA awarded, you should be eligible for another $2K in unsubsidized Staffords. Also, make sure they included your TAP award and see if you’re eligible for an ACG (may not be listed until your transcript is verified).

Thanks everybody! I already factored in the denial of PLUS to what I would need to find in outside loans because my father was denied at DePauw, and therefore the chances are good that he will be at Bard, as well. I don’t know why they didn’t give me the extra $2,000, though, because the award package in total is $45,700 and the estimated cost of attendance is $54,610. I’ll send them an email today and call and ask on Monday.

SK8rmom, you are right with the numbers. About $7K in tuition and fees. We had additional costs as my son was in the BFA program and he was in some special projects his last year. However, his rent was much cheaper than being in university housing since he lived in a dive. Food and other expenses were higher than Board estimates, despite his insistence that he would save sooo much money living off campus and not being on any meal plan. Ha, for that one. We gave him the COA numbers as his allowance, but paid any university incurred costs directly.

Skullduggery, do talk to the fin aid officers at DePauw and see if they can help you with the FAFSA. A lot of leeway is being permitted at this time in those numbers due to the financial circumstances so many families are in. Maybe they can help you out.

CPT, I did already email them twice and called twice to no avail. They gave me the same response: we can’t give you anything else. I withdrew for interests elsewhere.
