I have a question about MatLab

I need to start learning MatLab, because I need it for my research soon.
Does anyone know a good book or online tutorial for MatLab starters? I do not really have any programming backgrounds just some basics I learned in introduction to engineering classes.
Thanks!

You can find basically everything you need online. The documentation on their own website is pretty nice and there are multiple communities dedicated to Matlab work. I would say just find a few progressively tougher example problems to tackle and then explore on your own to solve them. Most of what I learned was from doing that.

Pretty good book, and very cheap for a used copy. It covers quite a bit of MATLAB in a followable manner. It teaches you the functions MATLAB has built in, while also showing you how to program your own function files. Texas A&M uses this book in MEEN and CVEN numerical method classes.
