I have a question about my business major.

So i am a current high school junior. When i am in college i would like to study abroad for part of the college career. I plan on majoring in accounting and economics because i hope to become a finanincal anaylst... so my question is where would i want to study abroad? i want to so i can learn about foreign economies and how investing there works...

but i also would consider international business... one reason would be for my love of traveling, the only downturn is that i am not fluent in any language except for english... is it still possible to go into international business without knowing a 2nd language?

and where would be a good place to study abroad for economics?

i was thinking london or paris...

THANKS GUYS :)

Financial Analyst is very broad, but I’m guessing you’re into asset management? It’s what most people think of when they think “Finance.” Anyway, there’s a pretty sizable number of good locations to study abroad. Singapore, Shanghai, HK, London are all pretty good, I’d decide based on the quality of the abroad programs at your school. They aren’t all created equal, I know students whose rooms abroad had about 20 square feet not covered by their bed.

If you’re serious about International Business, you’ll have to be serious about learning another language. Most of business is understanding people/cultures, and you can’t do that if you can’t comprehend a word they’re saying. If you’re motivated enough I would highly suggest learning Chinese, especially if you’re into financial markets.

The highest rated undergrad business program outside of the US is HEC Paris. I plan on studying there for a semester and I know no French. I think the best in London is LSE.
