do ALL colleges take the best section of your SATs and then add 'em together or........... instead do they take the BEST sitting (as in the highest score you received in one day) ?

Most take the best sections from separate sittings, but some (the UC system, Yale, a few more) only take the best sitting. Odds are good that all or almost all of the schools on your list will mix and match.

i wish they wud like SAY this on their website or w.e.
thanks anyway tho.

my list of skools are:
Rutgers
Penn State
Wisconsin Madison
U Conn etc etc.

neone know whether or not they take the best sections from separate sittings?

I just checked the Yale website and it says...

"The formal admissions committee that meets to vote on applications, however, will see only the highest score you received on any individual test, if you have repeated any of the tests. For the SAT I, the admissions committee will consider the highest score from each of the test's three sections."

So, to sum it up, Yale takes the best scores from different sittings.

Oh woops, sorry. I had Yale in my head for some reason and then I googled it real quick and just read that first sentence. My bad :)
