i have a question about upenn

UPENN is my first choice so i just want to know everything about it!! Though I've not even been admitted.

just a simple question..
I took Calc AB in junior year (coulnd't take BC for personal reasons) and got a 5. Right now I'm a senior and I'm taking Multi-variable calculus. I've learned that Calc AB doesn't get you anywhere in Penn, but I'm wondering how they gonna handle it in my situation~

I'm applying for early decision and asking such unneccessary question simply because Penn is my favorite school and I love it (though for me applying regular decision may give a better chance~~)

So, please answer my question and I'll appreciate you answers~~

if you're taking multivariable i dont think you have anything to worry about

no~i have A LOT to worry about than you aspiring Pen students~~~my chance is really small~ i say that for reasons, eg.my stat/ec/everything is not as impressive as yours~~ (in fact i just took SAT in oct and haven't get a score yet and that was the first attempt)

So... anyone can answer my question?...what do they do with Multivariable?

good job on getting a 5 on the ab test, but your score will not be accepted for credit for introductory calculus at penn - you would need a calculus bc test score of a 5 to receive that credit.

other than that, taking calculus and doing well is a good sign. not having taken bc calculus is not a strike against you.

since you are now taking multivariable calculus, you can take a placement test if you are accepted to and matriculate to penn, and hopefully get credit that way, rather than take the same material all over again.

does that help?
