SO i decided to quit the IB program at the end of junior year because it was eating time and took much work!!! And it is official. SO what will colleges think of that?? I know i wasted a year in high school and did not take any AP exams!!! But I will take all AP courses next year and I have taken APHug,APPsych,APWH,APPHYSICS,APBIO! before!!!!!!! SO i have 5 AP classes!!! The prob is that I scored very low on those exams, like 3's!!! SO I AM SCARED!!!!!!!!! I HAVE GOOD SAT AND ACT AND SUBJECT TESTS!!!! I AM SCARED!!!! PLEASE HELP!!!!

AP scores don’t need to be reported in your college application (based on the common app), but colleges may question the absence of scores. Your SAT/ACT/Subject Tests as well as your grades in the AP courses are viewed more importantly.

Will quitting the IB program be noted in your transcript? That may be something you want to explain to admissions if so.

And don’t freak out. It’s a daunting process, but now that your junior year is over you should focus on other aspects of the college app. Start organizing your brag sheet. Prep for any other standardized testing you think can be improved. Reinforce relationships with your counselor and teachers for great recommendations. And most importantly, start on your essays; they’re the most important part!

You got this! Let me know if you need any advice or if you have any questions, and I will try my absolute best to help you out!
