<p>Hi guys, my unweighted GPA is a 3.57, BUT i am in the top 10% of my class out of 550 students, so does that ruin my chances to places like cornell, columbia, nyu ??? Because im in top 10% but my UW GPA is low because i got a few Bs in honors/AP courses?? Any response greatly appreciated :)</p>
<p>3.57 is not a really low UW GPA! My HS GPA was like 2.4 something.</p>

<p>3.57 is not REALLY low, it will not ruin your chances at those schools. High test scores or a great extracurricular profile, or having stellar grades in the courses related to the area of your prospective major would justify that GPA.</p>
<p>Columbia is a little iffy because of its selectivity - but certainly not impossible. NYU and Cornell look like good choices. Just make sure you've got a likely admit school on your list.</p>
