And there's nothing I can do. I have no proof (except my intuition), and the grades for the class are all subjective. FML. There goes my shot at being valedictorian. Any thoughts?

That’s a really stupid thing to assume with no evidence. Try asking your teacher what it is you need to do to improve.

There is just something about the way she looks at me… shivers But yeah, I guess I’ll talk to her and try to work it out.

I think asking the teacher why they gave you the grade they did on a specific assignment is a good idea. Don’t tell them they’re “wrong”, because then they’ll just get defensive. I doubt they’re intentionally ruining your grade. I know my gym teacher is a complete idiot as far as grading goes… he gave me the wrong grade last year (81%). I did ask him nicely about it and he said he put in what I deserved, so I just let it go. Then this year, he “suddenly” gives me a 104% in gym for no reason at all (I’m average as far as athletics). I think he realized his mistake.

One of my teachers has nearly admitted (several times) that she purposely grades down the tests of the val and sal, mainly because she doesn’t like grade grubbers. It’s common knowledge around the school that she gives better grades to the kids she likes.

Does she give that look to anyone else except for you? Or is it possible you’re just looking too far into it?

^my teacher is the exact opposite! The Val is the only person who can get a 100 in the class. Everyone else can get a max of 96 or 97. Unfortunately there is nothing that can be done about it in my school.

What subject does she teach?

KC: Is this like an English class or something?

^That’s what seems most likely because English is subjective unlike math and science…

@food she teaches English… So there is an element of subjectivity in it unfortunately.

^Yeah. I feel that if the teacher doesn’t like you then no matter what, your grade won’t be as good as someone that the “teacher’s pet”. This is why in English it’s good to show effort.

Ask your teacher nicely and politely, or they get mad and annoyed. I have an English teacher who looses my stuff all the time ( I don’t know why it is always mine) and I get zeros and late for no reason. I talked to her and showed her my work and she gave me the credits. One time she had my assignment posted on the wall and didn’t count the credits. I asked her to change it but she never did so I let go of it since it didn’t affect my grade that much. And she never mark our paper so we don’t have any proof of whether we have turned it in on time or not.

You’ll always see teachers like that, ALL my math teachers do this to me. If i were you i would have them tell you what they marked off points for and if you can improve.
If they can’t or neglect to tell you then you have some kind of backing other than “intuition”
