It is not diverse! I had a really bad time at the school last spring semester because I wasn't fitting in socially, or at least I felt that way. I have adjusted a whole lot more since and enjoy the school much more now, but I have found out the feeling isn't unique to me. Other minority students aren't very happy with their decision to attend the school because it is not diverse. And the thing is, the school didn't make that clear. Of course colleges try to reach out to the minority students in some way, but they don't make it clear about the real numbers when the student is first accepted. While your social life is definitely depends on how you approach it, race can be a very confounding factor and I feel that many people don't realize that. White-majority schools can be very cold and unaccpeting at times to minorities. It might not seem that way at times, but for some reason, whites think of and treat minorities differently. Some literally think that they are smarter than minorities inherently. This may seem like a generalization at first, but it is something you should think about. I have made many great friends who don't care about my race, but it's really upsetting for me to see others who are bothered by it. IT REALLY BOTHERS ME. I want to help and address the issue. I don't know how.

I’m pretty sure that all schools make available some sort of breakdown of the student body by race. And unless you are interested in attending one of the 100 or so black colleges/universites in the country I think every school can be considered “white majority”.

perhaps the issue is with you and not the school. everything does not boil down to race, just try being yourself . if it does not work for you, transfer to howard or bethune cookman. you my find yourself unhappy at those schools too, but the reason you assign to it will be different. sometimes school can be an adjustment and feel like a cold lonely place but, I can promise you when you find other people with negatvie feelings , you feed off that and it just gets worse!

Hmmmm…I never said I was black in the original post. What made you guys think that?

I never thought you were of African descent.

There are non-HBUs that are not “white majority” (e.g. many universities in places like HI, CA, NM, TX).
