i am a senior in hs and i applied to the stern school of business early decision, and sadly got rejected. However, my question is, am i able to re-apply to nyu for reg. decision and apply to CAS, not stern?? and also is it too late for me to call them to ask if they could do this? and is there any additional info i need to get for them since my application would probably be the same??

Definitely not. I can't think of a single school that allows rejected ED applicants to reapply the same year, even to a different school within the university.

No you cannot. If you are rejected for an academic year, you may not apply to that school in the same academic year. Besides, the regular decision deadline was January 15th.

I would say you probably could. The rule of a thumb: it can be done whenever the apps to a particular school are reviewed completely independantly from other schools; it cannot be done when you just indicate the majoror a school, but all apps are reviewed from one pot. When it is posible, the app will ak about your previous apps to other schools.
The issue is that you are late for NYU deadline. I would apply a day or two later (most collee are likely to OK a short delay if you notify them), but at this point you need to get a permision first.

No. NYU specifically states that you cannot apply to another NYU school for the same academic year that you have been denied admission to one.

We believe that part of our commitment to Early Decision applicants is an "early" decision, and we either admit or deny Early Decision candidates. Please note that Early Decision students who are denied admission may not reapply as Regular Decision applicants
