I have another question...It's about financial aid

On my financial aid portal, it says that i have two outstanding items: U.S. proof of citizenship and my selective service verification. Knowing the slim chances I have at these schools, I want to wait on giving them these two items. One, it would save me the trouble if i were rejected. Two, if i am accepted, I would then forward these items to them, at which point the FA office can calculate my offer. Is this a good idea?

Depends…

Yes they can then calculate your offer, but I am not sure when you would get it. It would certainly take them a week, though probably at least 2. You then have far less time to weigh up your offers.

If you get accepted you should be ready to send them these things ASAP, else you may only be getting a Finaid estimate in late April.

First- Yale has a Financial Aid portal for RD applicants? How do you access it?

Second- The same thing was on my Brown FA portal. Apparently-they only require proof of citizenship for accepted students. IF one is accepted, they should send proof of citizenship
