I have atrocious handwriting. Help!

I’ll admit it, I have absolutely disgusting and horrible handwriting. I’ve been told I’ve had horrible handwriting all my life, and often times its very hard for me to read. Tomorrow I’m going to have to be writing for 3 hours for the AP Seminar test (It’s okay if you aren’t familiar with the test, point is I have to write for three hours). If I really take my time, I can definitely write legibly. Issue is I’ll be writing essays back to back for AP Seminar and I simply don’t have the time to write slowly. I’m a good writer and I’m fairly confident I can do well on the test, but the main thing (possibly) holding me back is my handwriting. Thankfully, I’m aware these graders are trained to read bad handwriting and I know if I really make the effort, I can make my handwriting legible.

To those of you who have atrocious handwriting, what steps did you guys take (if any) for AP tests that involve a lot of writing?

And no, I don’t have dysgraphia.

Boy would I kill someone to have THAT problem than not really knowing the material XD
On a serious note, my handwriting is TIIINY and ILLEGIBLE but what I found to do to write fast yet readable was to start putting more force into the pencil because I found that just writing as you go casually oftentimes result in blurred smudged handwriting. Also, you can try spacing out the letters and words a bit so even if your handwriting is atrocious, you can still make out each letter/word. $0.02 good luck!
