I have equivalent SAT and ACT scores, which one should I focus on.

I have taken around 8 practice tests of the ACT and the SAT, 4 each. My best ACT was a 29 whereas my best SAT is 1910. I didn't do the SAT essay because I'm bad at self critiquing, but I based it off of my ACT essay score (8). Currently, I'm in a dilemma on which test I should focus on. Any suggestions?

I forgot to add this in, maybe it will of some help. I’ve been studying the ACT for a few months where as I just started the SAT last week. My current scores are CR-600 M-670 W-630 and E-30 M-33 R-29 S-29

I think the ACT is your best option right now. Good luck

Bump… Any other suggestions?

ACT. You should just keep studying for that until you get your desired score.

ACT would be the best choice for you right now

Thanks everyone. I managed to pull off a 33 last month!

Congrats on your score! Just wondering, did you take a state administered test or the April 12th one?

I took both and got a 30 on April 12 and a 33 on the state.

What? You got your state ACT results back already? No fair :frowning: I also got a 30 on the April 12th test, and I’m still waiting for my other score…

Still, congratulations!

My counselor told me that ACT is easier to improve on. Also, there’s no rush to take the ACT, while people taking the SAT feel that they need to rush to take the old one.
