<p>I don't really understand what happened in the other thread, but was it that you could confirm your admittance even if you were never accepted? That's not the case here, as only those that have been accepted can log in.</p>
<p>It seems like they could create a Net-ID account, with email address and such. The problem was people thought they got in or didn't get in based on faulty info - no one really knew whether that website was a reliable indicator of whether someone was accepted (which the rep said it wasn't). So same applies here, I guess. People have said they can't log in although they got an acceptance letter in the mail... so it just creates false expectations.</p>
<p>So now I'm going to thoroughly apologize. Even though this is an anonymous SN, I want to call the admissions office, leave my full name, address, candidate ID number and SSN, and tell them I am sorry. :) (it was kind of funny to read the posters apologies, but I guess I'd be really worried myself three days away from decision day even though the rep clearly said no further action will be taken)</p>
