I have mental problems. Do you hate me?

I've been diagnosed with a few mental problems, nothing that endangers me or anyone, but given our society's ignorance I can see why many people would feel uncomfortable around someone like me. Are you one of those people who think that people with depression, anxiety, post traumatic stress disorder, etc, threaten your existence?

I’m pretty sure no one “hates” people with mental problems.

Yes, some people feel uncomfortable around them. But that’s different from “hatred”.

No. But I do hate people who make posts to get attention.

I don’t hate you for your mental problems. I hate you for using this board as your own personal b1tching blog. And I say blog because it’s always completely one sided as whenever someone tries to give you advice you completely ignore it or make up some ******** to dismiss it.

Please go to Fmylife… I think you’ll feel better there.

Considering I’ve been diagnosed with an eating disorder, chronic depression, “alcoholic tendencies,” and anxiety disorder; I’m in no position to judge.

Just quit behaving as if you’re a victim. Overcome.

I know I’m doing it right now, but everybody:

QUIT FEEDING THE ■■■■■

One of my best friends has PTSD, so no, having a mental disorder is not something to be hated for.

I have anxiety issues that probably stem from me being bipolar. I don’t really tell anyone about the bipolar part becuase anxiety seems to be fairly common amongst students my age.

It’s hard sometimes because I freak out on my friends and people I know. I simply apologize and tell them that it’s hard for me to calm down sometimes. They are understanding so it’s not a big deal.

I’m glad my problems are controllable and mild though. They don’t conflict with my life too drastically. Mania is nice sometimes–I become very productive.

People aren’t going to care whether you have depression, anxiety, or even schizophrenia. Just act normal and if there is a problem in which people are questioning your behavior, just answer honestly about your condition. We aren’t in middle school where people with mental disorders where “psychotic.”

pmvd,

No one hates people just becuase they have mental problems, that is ridiculous. Some people may feel uncomfortable but they won’t hate. It seems that a lot your posts involve you being paranoid that people hate you. People give you advice, which doesn’t really seem to matter to you. You ignore everything everyone says and make a new post restating yourself in slightly different circumstances. No one hates you, but what you do ****es them off.

Stop posting! You’re only giving him fuel with which to continue these posts.

The question should be rephrased “I have mental problems. Do you not care about me?”
Why?

because people dont get the concept of hate.
Hatred can only occur with love.
I don’t love mentally challenged people. Thus i cannot hate them.

Well I just describe anxiety as a condition. I don’t see why people would hate/ dislike someone due to those reasons. Recently been to the doctors, and they decided to place me on medication for a anxiety disorder. I guess I may have some type of anxiety disorder, not sure which one yet.

Everyone’s right, though. This isn’t something you should be talking about here.

It’s common sense that there will always be SOMEone who will hate you for SOME reason SOMEwhere; whether you’re the stupidest person in the neighborhood or the sexiest stud muffin in the entire state. Nobody’s perfect, and you need to realize that and deal with it. Only care about the people who are smart enough to respect you and treat you like any other person, not the idiots who are looking to bring you down.

It’s only basic, elementary school bullying advice that I can give you. Really, it’s not something to be whining about on a forum… At least not THIS one.

I take my all of my advice from fat kids on King of the Hill.

Perhaps you can write in a journal or even write stories if you’re into fiction. It’s a great way to express how you feel. Don’t worry about whether people hate you for your problems or not, it’s none of their business.

kiz137, I have met a lot of people who have tried to bring me down.

I don’t let them bring me down, but they usually leave me emotionally shaken.

I am human. There is not much I can do to completely suppress my emotions.

^ there’s so many mental disorders out there, people think of schizoprenia and bipolar when they hear mental disorder, but look how common ADD, ADHD, OCD, depression and eating disorders are.

don’t you think that’s a strange question to ask when complete strangers like us have been offering you advice? We’re not fictional people you know; nice people like us exist in real life.

muzicgirl89, but where in the real world do I find nice strangers like you guys? I wouldn’t be suprised if you guys didn’t like me if you knew me in person.
