I have no Hope guys !!!

Hi every one

this is my first thread on this website

my situation is different to every one

I passed O levels

and came to do AS levels

but the School refused to do so???? saying I will not coup with the level of AS

because I choose all core subjects and plus done a subject call combined science(all three sciences es together)

which blocked my future plan really

but after a lot of discussion with them because i got a B I was accepted to do ONLY IT(information technology) as AS level

and I passed that with a grad C.

through my search over the colleges the minimum requirements is 2 AS subject

And to be honest I don't know what to do

1) go back to school and do one extra subject
2) find a college the accept me ( my Major Subject is IT)
if so i would kindly like a list of colleges.

I have no hope except Asking you guys fro Advice because i am lost in a world of no one

BEST REGARDS

Thomas

Well, if the minimum requirement for everywhere you’ve looked at is two AS subjects, then you need to do another one.

Just to let you know, computer programming requires a decent level of maths knowledge.

I don’t understand how taking combined sciences could have blocked your future plans either. Plenty of people I know took combined sciences (my high school didn’t offer anything else), and it didn’t do them any harm.

Did they do it in extended level or core level because it differs

the other point is Combined science wasn’t provided as AS level in school

thank you again laylah for your time

waiting to hear from you again

The point of combined sciences is that it prepares you to study SEPERATE sciences at AS/A-level. As far as I know, it’s never offered as a subject in itself at AS/A-level. E.g., my brother took combined sciences at age 16, then did seperate Biology, Chemistry and Physics for A-level.

I am pretty sure he (and I) did extended level. But it was 8 years ago for me so I’m not sure!

In any case, if the minimum requirement is two AS levels, you need to find another one. Can you talk to your old teachers? They may be able to suggest another subject you could do.

Laylah

thanks thanks

I really appreciate your visit
