Once you confirm your enrollment in your portal please send an email to the Dean’s assistant, Gina Green (gina.green@pomona.edu), to formally request your gap year and detail your plans. We want you at Pomona; whether it’s this year or next year, that you’re going to be a Sagehen is what matters most!

Thank you so much for your suggestion. I don’t think that I would have asked them unless I had heard that they reached their target size already. I literally owe you my future (if I decide to enroll at Pomona)
Now I get to choose solely between Pomona and Carleton. I’m leaning towards Pomona, but after having to “turn down” Pomona via accepting the City Year position, I realize that I will be a little sad about both colleges, whichever I decide not to go to. I already feel connected to Carleton and will definitely feel like I’m betraying them at this moment in time if I choose Pomona, but once I’m in college at either place, I most likely will not have any regrets because both places are so amazing. I will sleep on it a little more, talk it over some more, and think about it, but based on my excitement after reading the aforementioned email, it seems Pomona is in my heart.
Thank you to everyone who has contributed to this… I haven’t responded individually to everyone but know that the messages were read (and by other people close to me as well) and taken into consideration. It’s appreciated!
