I have no idea what to say?!?!

For the Emory supplement I have to write about why I want to go there. Here's the prompt

"many students decide to apply to Emory University based on our size, location, reputation, and yes, the weather. Besides these valid reasons as a possible college choice, why is Emory University a particularly good match for you?"

The reason I decided on Emory is its size/location/reputation lol, I want to go to somewhere where I have never been to and somewhere new (I live in AZ) so Emory was the pick...it's amazing academics obviously influenced me as well.... I have absolutely no idea what to say. Any ideas?

How are their programs good for you?

What draws you to the school?

What connections have you made with the school?

Ya I could address how I have a wide area of interest so a liberal arts base would benefit me, what draws me to the school is it’s interesting location and strong academics. Connections, not many, I could only afford to visit a few colleges and I picked ones that I wasn’t sure if i would like (URichmond) and one’s that I really love (USC/NYU). So i don’t know much about the school

Go to their website - that’s what I did. What I do is poke around on the websites for a while, and then I pick 1 sort of overarching theme that I like about the school. Look up the majors you’re interested in. Look up the activities/clubs they have, and see if any fit what you’re looking for. Use specifics, don’t just go with the general “well rounded lib arts education etc etc” If you have a lot of interests, check out their interdisciplinary programs, maybe there are some programs that mesh your interests.

Reading up student publication is also a good idea; you can talk about a lot of distinguishing characteristics of the students seeing after all, they are the ones you will be living with for four years of your education (sometimes more…)
