sat score mentioned during previous post...its low, so get ready to see it: 2170. first time taking it. plan to retake for 2300 in june.
planning to take satIIs in math, chem, bio
ahhh my concern is that my sat score, Bs and 4 on the calcab exam will count against me. i really want to get into med school but dont know my chances at ivy, nonivy, and accelerated med programs. I want to go to a seven year bs/md pgm, my parents dont think ill get in. so i dunno. Can someone please advise me? Thanks so much

um, i really dont mind any school, be it city-oriented or middle of nowhere. it just needs a comfortable, safe, beautiful/pretty campus. I dont have a preference as to the kind of kids cause im friends with a variety, from goths to preps to nerds. My high school as a bunch of kids, 3423 students, so I m kinda used to a big place where I know 1/8 of the students.
I guess im so unsure cause my best friend has gotten all As all marking periods and all fives on her aps and will probably get a near perfect on her sats and i keep comparing myself to her even tho i know i shouldnt.

An SAT of 2300+ would be amazing, but 2250 range should be fine.

4 will never work against you, and AP scores are barely factored in admissions, if at all.

As for the Bs, it depends on how many you have.

2170 is okay, but of course score higher to increase your chances at top colleges reasonably.

I have two B's ... is that something to worry about even though my GPAs all right?
also how much community service is enuf? i have about 250 thru the hospital and an additional 120 thru key club. need i worry about doing more?
And by the way, thanks for replying to me guys, im forever grateful. my parents have the lowest opinion of me...therefore i cannot even ask them for college advice.
Any more ideas/advice? am i an ivy/accelerated med pgm candidate or am i not....? ahh screaming, flipping out. why, you ask? bc i just took the calc bc exam and think i missed my chance for a 5. and NEED to take my sats again. porque? bc my score now = urnotevengettingintoanivysodontevenbother.

what are my chances at:
harvard
yale
stanford
duke
cornell
jhu
brown
colombia
dartmouth
penn
??????????????

Excellent shot at all of those, with the expections of Harvard, Princeton, and Yale, but that goes for pretty much everyone.
