2003-2006: Tennis lessons (with Coach Lee Rohm)
2004-2006: Volunteering at the Central Montgomery Hospital- work at ER, Same Day Surgery, Cardiology, Family Birth Center (one of the few allowed inside the nursery), Front Desk, and Gift Shop, (the front desk and gift shop are usually restricted to senior volunteers, but I am the only teen volunteer allowed to do this)
1995-2006: Indian Classical (Carnatic) Vocal lessons (with T. N. Bala)- won 1st place at the TANA competition and have been winning categorical metals since age seven in TAGDV local competitions
1993-2006: Indian Classical (Bharatanatyam) Dance lessons (with Shoba Sharma and Viji Rao)- have been performing over tri-state area for over five years; am part of professional production troupe highlights of which include performances in the Kimmel Center, Painted Bride Theater, Philadelphia Art Museum, and Pearl S. Buck Foundation. Also, we performed in NYC and Pittsburg. Our troupe took part in a fundraiser in Kimmel with M. Night Shyamalan and Miss Universe 2003 Amelia Vega, and we fundraised for the Bharatiya temple. Also did a myriad number of small performances, for example, at schools (for spring festivals and workshops) and Indian cultural associations; our troupe is planning on going on tour around North America and England in summer 2006; helped teach the younger students</p>
<p>sat score mentioned during previous post...its low, so get ready to see it: 2170. first time taking it. plan to retake for 2300 in june.
planning to take satIIs in math, chem, bio
ahhh my concern is that my sat score, Bs and 4 on the calcab exam will count against me. i really want to get into med school but dont know my chances at ivy, nonivy, and accelerated med programs. I want to go to a seven year bs/md pgm, my parents dont think ill get in. so i dunno. Can someone please advise me? Thanks so much</p>
