ok so i am taking the october lsat. on my practice test i am scoring between 155 and 160. my gpa is 3.2(from ucla), and I am an African-American male. As far as my gpa i will try to explain in my personal statement, that I have gotten 3.4 or higher in every quarter at ucla, except 1 b/c of major health issues.

so if i get a 155 where should i apply?

how about if i can get a 160?

ps im not asking you to list the names of schools just school ranked numbers will be fine...ie 75-100

I'd recommend that you go to LSAC.org Homepage. There's a search function there that lets you plug your gpa and LSAT score in and find out your odds of admission at most ABA-approved law schools. (It's under the Choosing a Law School link--you'll see something like guide ato ABA law schools; click that.) Plug in the 155. Plug in the 160.

You'll get a bit of a boost from AA at MOST not all law schools. So, my personal opinion--and I'm not an expert--is that you should look at the schools where numbers alone give you at least a 35% chance. Choose your apps from those. MAKE SURE YOU INCLUDE SOME SAFETIES.
