I find it sad that we have to rush everything…college courses in HS? Well, if it’s at college level…then it should be take in college. JMHO

BTW, most posters here do post as if everything relates to a top 30 college. There are many, many great schools that you can get in with a solid GPA and SATs. You don’t need all the APs.

It depends where you’re applying. Like, for me…well, I wasn’t looking to Ivy League schools or anything, but I’m going to Carleton next year, which is definitely a good school, and my course schedule was not rigorous compared to a lot of people at my school.

We offer many APs and honors courses. I took one honors sophomore year, one honors and one AP junior year, and this year I’m taking three APs. Compared to a lot of people I know at my school (someone taking almost all APs junior/senior year is not rare), this was an “easy” courseload. It was pretty close to perfect for me though.

So yeah, if you’re looking at Ivy League, it’ll hurt you, but otherwise don’t let it discourage you. It sounds like, even without the APs, you still had a challenging schedule.
