<p>I just wrote an essay and its 1200 words long. I'm using the common application for all my schools. Is there a word limit for the common aplication? ANnd are all schools the same limit if you use the common application? I'm really confused!</p>
<p>There was a thread on this topic recently. There is no written word limit, but the general consensus is that anything above 1000 is rediculous. You should do a CC search for the thread because I'm not sure if that's write.</p>
<p>Regardless, 1200 is tooooo long.</p>
<p>I have the same problem - 1237 words and don't think I can shorten it. I REALLY like it though, and think I may end up submitting it. Has anyone ever gotten into a top school, or know of somone who did, with this long of an essay?</p>
