I have some questions

What is the point of going to a more prestige college like harvard vs a low state college. Wont you be getting the same degree at the end?

What is the point of getting good grades in college. Say if i want to become an engineer, i would pass all my classes with a "D". Wont you still have completed the courses and thus you could get your degree.

Same degree, different prestige. In some careers, prestige matters. In others, it doesn’t matter. Teaching quality can change - although it doesn’t always mean the private school has better quality. The college experience as a whole is different as well.

You would have your degree but you wouldn’t have an employer willing to take you. Engineering employers typically want to see 3.0 or higher.
