i have to handle an academic probation issue

before i sign up for classes in the fall. until then i can't sign up. and times ticking. time is always ticking. but it's ticking in an unpleasant way for me in this regard. but this involves - possibly - talking to people from my major's department. and i'm scared. any tips for being less scared?

Just think of this as solving a problem. Go in there, plead your case in the most mature way possible, take responsibility, and see what they say. What’s the worst that can happen? Most people are reasonable if you approach them the right way. Remind yourself that you are not the first to be in this situation, nor will you be the last. It’s a learning experience for you, and you will grow from it. Good luck!

Agree with above poster.

Please prepare a plan of action.
Be precise with what went wrong.
Take responsibility.
What are you going to do differently.
Chalk out a plan of, maybe tracking your assignments, deadlines, tutor help, attending office hours, dedicated time hours for study, a routine and any other thing that you need to have in place in order to obtain different results.

Like they say to change things you have to do things differently. Same
routine would lead to same results.

And it is going to alright. We all face challenges. How we deal with them will define who we are. You are going to be fine.
