<p>I got rejected from Johns Hopkins, my dream school, yesterday and I'm extremely upset, but hey life moves on. I know that these schools are really hard to get into, but I want to know honestly how hard will they be for me. I'll chance back!</p>

-started a club that raises money to build schools in developing countries. possibility that I might go to a developing country to build a school- member, president 12th grade, and founder of the chapter at my school. I am heavily involved w/ this and wrote my essay about this, volunteering in India, and my dream to be a doc.</p>

<p>Volunteering:
-summer of 10th grade: Blind Association in India for 3 weeks
-my local hospital for 15 hours
-so far I have 50 hours from the nonprofit I'm working w/ to start my club.</p>

<p>almost all the ivy level schools you apply to are reaches, sorry but you need to improve your composite score. Alot of colleges do not even count the writing SAT and it will really hurt you in the process. As for the other schools, you should have a decent shot at all of them, the ones you listed that are not ivies range are mid to high matches imo, maybe a reach at NYU depending on the program</p>

First off, I’m sorry about your rejection. Admissions are such a crapshoot, I’m sure on another day things might have turned out differently. I didn’t apply anywhere ED, but I’m applying to SUNY Bing, Northwestern, and Tufts as well! Not that my opinion on this actually means much, but I would say you have very good chances at both SUNYs (not sure about macauney b/c I know nothing about it), Villanova, and BU, as well as decent ones at NYU and even CMU. After that (UChicago, NW, Cornell, Penn, Brown, and Tufts), there’s really no telling - it comes down to who happens to be reading your app, as well as your essay/recs. GOOD LUCK!</p>
